Thank you to the Budapest Symphony Orchestra string sections for playing on this beautiful recording of"A Widows Sacrifice".
At the end of my Graduate Certificate, we were tasked with taking a short story and expanding it into a mini-musical.

I chose Aesop's fable "The Oak and The Reed". I was inspired by fond memories of reading the picturebook as a child.
​
This dramatization paints The Reed as a gentle and optimistic child, and The Oak as a boastful and prideful man.
​
Writing this mini-musical was one of the highlights of my degree, and pushed the limits of my writing capabilites.

"Sakura Trees" is an hommage to my favourite trees: the cherry blossom trees. In my hometown, the streets become flooded with pops of pink and fuchsia every spring. Years of waiting for the April blooms inspired me to musically express my love for them.
"The Tortoise and The Hare" is a musical characteization of the two main characters from the children's story of the same name.

"The Tortoise", is a slow waltz that encapsulates the speed and majesty of the tortoise.
"The Hare", is a short, erratic piece that hops around different melodies, keys, and rhythms.
ELECTRONIC
My EP, Growth, was composed in collaboration with my houseplants for one of my BMus capstone projects. I used a synth called a PlantWave to collect the electrical signals emmited from the plants and turn them into backing tracks and melodic rhythms for each song.

This experimental album put a lot of my skills to the test and was one of the highlights of my Bachelor's degree.
